This project involved, building an attic conversion in a 2-storey house. This attic was converted into a beautiful south facing office/study.
There are many different aspects of an attic conversion project – right from the layout (stairs & windows) and cosmetic appearance to the material specifications, but none of these are more important than the structural modifications required to make the space safe to use whilst maintaining the integrity of the roof structure
This included new velux windows, storage space both sides of the room, fully rewired sockets, light fittings, burglar alarm and fully decorated making the very most of the available space.
This project was completed within 3 weeks

Job Type: New Disabled Toilet installation
This project involved renovations of existing bathrooms making them wheel chair accessible.
This included removing wooden floors, pipe work, altering radiators fitting in floor drain, fitting non slip floor covering, tiling walls, fitting thermostatic showers, wall hung wash hand basins, new toilets, widen doorway and made wheel access.
This project was completed with in 2 weeks
Location: Hewetson’s School, Clane, Co. Kildare
Job Type: New Corridor
The project involved, building a secure corridor between two classrooms, so the children can move between the two classrooms with no safety risks.
This included a new exterior wall to the building, extending the roof, altering drains, repositioning fire exit door, fully decorated (interior, exterior), renewed existing concrete yard outside the door and repaired rising damp in classroom.
Cardoon Builders worked very closely with the client to ensure the design facilitated a fast track programme.
This project was completed within 6 weeks, thus allowing the client to safely re-open the school in time for the new academic year.
